The Sunay'ha Theatre Festival Spring 2005

The Sunay'ha project brought theatre makers from Pakistan and the UK together to collaborate on work from Pakistan.

Context Theatre were able to bring three Pakistani theatre makers to the UK for a week, where their work was developed towards a showcase at the Sunay'ha Festival, 22-24 April 2005, at Oxford House in Bethnal Green, which also featured films, workshops, debates, an exhibition and the work of UK-based theatre makers whose work has been influenced by Pakistan, either through their background, or through an engagement with the country.

The artists involved included:
(from Pakistan) Sheema Kermani, Sarmad Sehbai and Farhan Maqsood
who collaborated with Penny Saunders, Rebecca Manson Jones and Dominic Rai.

For Sunay'ha Invites: Naylah Ahmed, Amman Paul Singh Brar, Azma Dar, Peter Grant, Waris Islam, Yasmin Whittaker Khan, Shamshad Khan, Avaes Mohammed, and Saman Shad.
